Gray Logic Electrical designs and installs premium home integration systems for larger residential projects. We’re based in Colchester, and while most of our work is in North Essex, we also travel further for the right high-end projects.
We deliver KNX-based control systems that bring multiple services together — lighting, scenes, heating, blinds/shading, selected power circuits and access control — into one coherent, reliable setup.
KNX is a widely adopted building automation standard supported by many manufacturers, making it a strong choice for long-term maintainability and future expansion.
What a KNX system can do
- Whole-home control: manage lighting, heating and other functions via wall keypads, touch panels, or mobile apps (system dependent).
- Scene setting: create reliable scenes such as Relax, Away, or Entertain with consistent lighting levels, heating setpoints and shading positions.
- Integration: connect with selected platforms such as Alexa or Google Home where appropriate — without making voice control the only way to use the home.
- Efficiency and security: sensible automation (occupancy, schedules, daylight sensing) to reduce waste, with options for controlled access where required.

- Design: a clear plan for circuits, zones, scenes and interfaces — aligned with the architecture and finishes.
- Installation and commissioning: tidy first-fix/second-fix work, proper labelling and thorough commissioning.
